The Wise-Anderson Protocol For Prostatitis and Pelvic Pain

The  Wise-Anderson Protocol (also known as the Stanford Protocol),is described by  co-authors Dr. David Wise and Dr. Rodney Anderson, in A Headache in the Pelvis and has been shown in published studies to significantly reduce muscle based pelvic pain in a large majority of men.

Dr. David Wise  met  Dr. Rodney Anderson in the middle 1990’s, in the Urology department  at Stanford University Medical Center, and together they developed the Wise-Anderson Protocol whose focus is muscle related pelvic pain in both men and women.

Self-Treatment With A Headache In The Pelvis

Dr. Wise and Dr. Anderson have presented the rudiments of the Wise-Anderson Protocol (also known as the Stanford Protocol) to researchers at the National Institutes of Health and other scientific organizations. They wrote A Headache in the Pelvis, a book that explains the science and practice of the  Wise-Anderson Protocol..

The Wise-Anderson Protocol, outlined in A Headache in the Pelvis, is offered in six day comprehensive immersion clinics  to qualifying patients in northern California. The insights of A Headache in the Pelvis and the research deriving from the monthly clinics that have been held monthly since 2003, have been in the forefront of a paradigm shift about treatment many cases of chronic pelvic pain

Dr. Rodney Anderson, David Wise and Tim Sawyer recently completed a study on the effectiveness of a new internal trigger point physical therapy device for self-treatment.
